A popular focus in interior design right now is the idea of a "curated" home rather than a "decorated" or "designed" one. You know... a house that looks like its occupants are just really interesting and have impeccable taste, not a house that screams DESIGNER WAS HERE.
One of the designers I think has mastered the art of curating is Jan Roden. She and her daughter own And George, one of several upscale home decor shops here in Charlottesville. I have a HUGE crush on her style. It's very traditional, formal and neutral, but also current, interesting and cozy. I could go on and on, but how about pictures instead?
You can check out more of Jan's portfolio here.
